Only The Top 2% Are Successful Because Of This

In life, we’re all like captains steering our own ships toward where we want to go. Some people sail without a clear goal, getting tossed around by whatever happens. But others discover the special force of ‘why’ — it’s like a guiding light. It not only shows you where to go but also makes every challenge and experience meaningful, turning a regular journey into an amazing adventure.

Cracking the Code of ‘Why’

Your ‘why’ is more than a question. Think of it like a compass for your ship, showing the right way when things get tough. ‘Why’ is like an anchor, keeping you steady when things get rough. Going on a journey without knowing your ‘why’ is like sailing without a map — it’s aimless and full of confusion.

My ‘why’ became my superhero, helping me to keep going even when everything seemed really tough. It all started when I had a not-so-great opinion about myself (a poor self-image), and it led me to a life where things were missing. I lost money, relationships, and even my sense of who I was. My bank account just always had $1,500, and it stayed that way for a long time. My love for family and friends got smaller as I attended more than 3 funerals that year. Everybody began to feel like an hourglass to me and I felt so scared of loving others because one day I would be heartbroken if they unexpectedly passed like I witnessed in the past. My past experiences kept controlling me and I let it. I felt lost until one day, I sat down and asked myself a bunch of ‘whys.’

Questioning yourself helps you uncover your darkest secrets, excuses, and answers that can help you change your life. You become more aware and get more clear on what it is you don’t want and what you do want.

I asked myself repeatedly, “Why am I living like this? Why am I not where I want to be? Why am I even here on this earth? To suffer? To roll over and play victim?”

At my lowest point, I realized no one was coming to rescue me. So, I had a choice: stay in the ‘comfortable and familiar’ feeling of suffering or keep going because of my ‘why.’ My ‘why’ was like a guiding star, and it changes every day as I become a more improved and positive person. My current ‘why’ is to be able to transform this world one person at a time because mental health is under valued and under served. If I was able to be my own helping hand when I needed one the most, I can use it now to help others. I want to share my journey of self-discovery and self-growth that everybody needs. Many people put themselves in quick sand with their problems but all they know is to continue to sink. How can you change your life if you really don’t know how? I aim to empower these people and all those who are committed to bringing their own change in their life.

And that’s the story of how my ‘why’ helped me stand up again and kept me going, even when everything felt really hard.

Finding a Deeper Meaning, Choosing a Clearer Path

Discovering your ‘why’ means looking deep inside yourself and finding the values that shape who you are. It’s not just about what you do; it’s about why you do it. Your ‘why’ is the steering wheel guiding you to a deeper meaning, giving importance to everything you do. It turns everyday things into something special and makes the usual stuff extraordinary.

Imagine your why on various levels as if they were an iceberg, with only the portion of it visible at the surface. The more you dive into the depths, asking yourself “why” like an explorer probing the ocean’s secrets, the clearer things become — but it also stirs up powerful emotions beneath the surface.

Asking yourself “why” is like chipping away at the visible tip of the iceberg. The first answers you get are often the most obvious, like the peak that everyone sees. It might be your initial motivation or a practical reason for pursuing your goals. But the real magic happens when you decide to plunge deeper.

With each subsequent “why,” you descend into the submerged layers of your emotions and motivations. It’s a journey into the uncharted territory of your inner self. As you peel away the layers, you might feel a growing intensity, like the pressure building as you explore the hidden depths of the ocean.

And then, suddenly, you hit a point where the emotions become overwhelming — maybe it’s a moment that brings tears to your eyes or a surge of intense feelings. This is the moment you’ve found your true “why,” the powerful force beneath the surface that propels the visible goals. Your unconscious reasoning of why.

Just like the massive portion of the iceberg beneath the waterline, your deeper “why” holds the key to profound understanding. It’s the emotional core that fuels your journey. Many people stop at the tip of the iceberg, content with surface-level answers. But those who dare to dive deeper, who persistently ask “why” until they reach that emotional intensity, discover the authentic motivation that can drive them through any challenge.

So, the next time you dive in on your journey of self-discovery, remember the iceberg metaphor. Don’t settle for the tip; dive deep into the emotional waters, and when you hit that intense point, know that you’ve struck gold — you’ve found your true “why,” the powerhouse that will propel you towards your goals with unwavering determination.

Having a Sense of Direction in the Middle of Challenges

Picture your ‘why’ as the fuel that pushes your ship forward. It’s the power that makes your engine work, helping you face challenges and move towards success. Without a ‘why,’ your ship drifts without purpose, pushed around by life’s currents. But with a strong ‘why,’ you can plan your journey with purpose, determination, and strength. It turns problems into chances and tough times into steps toward success.

Quietly Influencing Your Mind: The Secret Power

Your ‘why’ isn’t just something that motivates you consciously; it’s a silent force that affects your subconscious mind. It’s like a constant hum in the background, shaping your thoughts, choices, and actions. When your ‘why’ matches your subconscious, your whole being feels a sense of purpose. It’s the difference between just getting by and really living — a life filled with purpose, passion, and satisfaction.

Turning Dreams into Reality

Goals, when driven by a strong ‘why,’ become more than just things you hope for; they become things you’re sure to reach. Your ‘why’ changes your goals from vague dreams to real achievements. It puts meaning into your journey toward success, making the whole adventure as exciting as reaching your goals.

Imagine you have this big goal, like acing a test or becoming the best at something you love. Now, knowing your “why” is like having a powerful tool in your backpack. It’s the reason behind why you want to achieve that goal.

Firstly, your “why” gives you a clear direction. It’s the map that guides you through the twists and turns of your journey. Without it, you might feel lost, like wandering around in a big maze. But with your “why,” every step you take becomes purposeful and focused.

Secondly, your “why” is like a personal cheerleader. When things get tough in pursuit of your goals, and you feel like giving up, your “why” is there to remind you why you started in the first place. It’s that little voice in your head saying, “You got this! Remember why you’re doing it!”

Lastly, your “why” makes your goals meaningful. It’s not just about reaching the finish line; it’s about why that finish line matters to you. This deep connection to your goal makes the journey more exciting and fulfilling.

So, imagine your goal is a treasure chest, and your “why” is the key to unlocking it. With your “why” by your side, you’re not just chasing goals; you’re on a thrilling adventure, and success becomes not just a destination but a journey filled with purpose and meaning.

Conclusion

When in doubt, ask yourself why. Have a sense of direction where you are headed and proceed forward, aligned with your purpose. Many people walk around aimlessly, letting their ships drift off to nowhere they want it to go.

Right now, ask yourself your meaning on this earth. “Why?” And every answer you get, ask why to it. Ask yourself why several times until you feel intense emotions. It is a wonder at what comes out and what you discover about yourself.

When you understand your why on a deeper level, you will know ‘how.’ Let your purpose guide you on the flow of life.

Peace, love, and gratitude.
